Thomas Henry Sanderson was born in 1883 at Nottingham and was the son of the late Henry a printer and Harriett Sanderson née Humber of 52 Huntingdon Street Nottingham. His father Henry was born in 1843 in Nottingham, he died on 12th December 1907 aged 64 yrs his mother Harriett Humber was born in 1845 in Nottingham, they were married in 1866 at Nottingham and went on to have the following children, Eleanor Harriett b1868, Annie b1871, Joseph Henry b1878 and Thomas Henry b1883 all were born in Nottingham. In the 1911 census the family are living at 52 Huntingdon Street, Nottingham and are shown as Harriett 66 yrs a widow, she is liivng with her children, Eleanor 42 yrs a head teacher and Thomas Henry 28 yrs a hosiery warehouse man
Private Thomas Henry Sanderson, served with the 10th Battalion Hampshire Regiment (formerly Royal Garrison Artillery), he was killed in action at Salonika on 7th December 1915. He is commemorated on the Doiran Memorial, Salonika.
