John Thomas Reeder and Annie Elizabeth Travis of Worksop married in 1894 Sheffield. They set up home in Worksop living at 2 Bridge Terrace where John Thomas plied his trade as a harness and saddle maker. They had only one son who was born in Worksop in 1897 who they named as Leonard Kelsey Reeder. His middle name of Kelsey derived from the surname of his paternal grandmother.

Military History

Leonard Reeder enlisted at Worksop and was sent to France where he was killed in action and is commemorated on the Arras Memorial.
