Family History

Baptised 10 April 1892 St Peter's Church Old Radford and living at 32 Mill Street Lenton (both Nottingham), he was the son of Herbert and Selina Harrison and the brother of Herbert, Arthur (killed in action 9/1/1917), Frank, Wallace, Samuel, William and Hilda Harrison. In 1901 and 1911 they lived at 17 Osborne Street Radford Nottingham. Herbert and Selina later moved to Rosedale British Columbia.

Military History

Initially 3/7th Sherwood Foresters (regimental number 3793 then transferred 1/7th Bn Sherwood Foresters D Coy, 15 Platoon). Stationed Belton Park, Grantham, before being posted to France. He had a leave pass issued for 22/23 October 1915 to enable him to marry his fiancée, Lucy, but all leave was stopped prior to posting to France and the wedding never took place.
