Cemetery:- Boulogne Eastern Cemetery Pte. W. Marshall Worksop Guardian 17 May 1918 The little village of Oldcotes has lost a gallant son in Pte. W. Marshall, Lewis Gun Corps, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall, who has died from Pneumonia, following on serious wounds. Pte Marshall enlisted on April 25th, last year, and after a short training was drafted to France, where he was wounded in the following November. He was invalided home, and on recovery, was again sent out . He took part in the severe fighting following on the renewal of the German offensive, and again severely wounded, his injuries resulting as stated. He died in Boulogne Hospital on May 3rd. Before enlisting he was employed by (?) Oldcotes Manor.
