George North (Junior) was born in 1896 the son of of George North (senior) a waggoner on a farm and Isabella Skipper North née Hall of Bole. George North (senior) was born in 1858 at Cherry Willingham, Lincolnshire, Isabella Skipper Hall was born in 1862 at Fiskerton, they were married in 1883 their marriage was recorded in the Lincoln Registration district, they had 4 children. In the 1911 census he is shown as a servant, a horseman on a farm, being farmed by William Lacey Smith living at South Clifton just outside Newark, he is 15 years of age and is single. His parents are living at Wigsley Lincolnshire in 1911. He has a brother Charles born 1888 Greetwell, Lincolnshire

Military History

Private George North enlisted at Retford , he served initially with the service number 85047 with the 9th Lancers. later transferring to the 4th battalion The King's (Liverpool Regiment ) He died on 26th June 1918 at the Military Hospital at Trent Bridge of heart failure whilst under anaesthesia, he is buried at St Martin's Churchyard,Bole
