He was the son of the late Frederick and Martha Gregory. He was the husband of Mary Jane Gregory of 14 Howitt Street, Hyson Green, Nottingham The caption on his photograph in the newspaper (07/12/1914) gives his address as Bateman Street, Hyson Green, Nottingham.

Military History

Private Frederick George Gregory enlisted on 30th July 1903 in Lincoln and served with the 1st Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment. Frederick landed in France on 25th August 1914 and was killed in action on 27th October 1914. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial (panel 8). He qualified for the 1914 Star, British War Medal and Victory Medal.
