Walter Cox was born on 1st June 1885 at Radford he married his wife Daisy May Britten in 1908 at Nottingham, they lived at David's Lane , Old Basford,Nottingham. In the 1911 census he and his wife are living at 16 Lawrence Street, Radford he is shown as being 25 yrs and a carter, he is living with his wife Daisy May 26 yrs a house wife. .

Military History

Private Walter Cox enlisted at Derby, whilst residing at Worksop he served with the 3rd battalion Sherwood Foresters , he died on 1st April 1917 of chronic cystitis and pyelectasis at Sunderland.. He is buried in Nottingham Church Cemetery.
