Herbert Cecil Webster

Herbert Cecil was born in 1882 in Nottingham and was the son of William a builder and Jane Webster née Screech of 19 Langley Grove, New Basford, Nottingham His father William was born in 1842 in Nottingham and his mother Jane Homan Screech was born in 1843 also in Nottingham, they were married in 1865 in Nottingham and went on to have 10 children nine of whom were still alive in the 1911 census, their surviving children were ; Catherine Annie b1867, William Henry b1868, Frederick William b1871, Gertrude Lucy b1873, Florence b1877, b1886 Bernard Charles b1879, Ewart Gladstone b1881, Herbert Cecil b1882, and Violet May b1886. In the 1911 census the family are living at 1 Langtry Grove, Nottingham and are shown as William 69 yrs a builder , he is living with his wife Jane 68 yrs and three of their children , Bernard Charles 32 yrs a yarn salesman, Ewart Gladstone 30 yrs a baker and Violet May 25 yrs, also living with them is a grandson Reginald Webster Spray 24 yrs a commercial traveller, also in the house is a servant Florence Mary Moore 19 yrs. He married his wife Nellie Marion Wooll and lived at 21 Curzon Street Nottingham. In the 1911 census he and his wife are living at 5 Cavendish Vale, Sherwood and are shown as Herbert Cecil 29 yrs a municipal officer for the education committee, he is living with his wife Nellie Marion Webster 29 yrs no occupation listed.
