Henry Chantry Frogson was born in 1898 he lived with his grandparents, John a county roadman and Sarah Frogson of 36 Portland Streeet, Pleasley Hill. In 1911 the family are living at 36 Portland Street, Pleasley Hill. John 70 yrs is a county roadman, he is living with his wife Sarah 67 yrs also living with them is their grandson Harry Chantry Frogson 12 years a scholar,
Private Henry Chantry Frogson enlisted at Mansfield he served with the 5th battalion King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, he was killed in action on 2nd September 1918 and is buried at Vaux Hill Cemetery, France.
Henry's uncle Thomas Frogson was killed on 28/02/1917.
