Frederick Henry Wilkinson was born in 1899 he was the son of John William a works joiner and Amelia Augusta Wilkinson née Creasey of 4 Second Avenue, Forest Town. John William was born in 1873 at Bulwell, Amelia Augusta Creasey was born in 1871 in Suffolk, they were married in 1894 their marriage was recorded in the Basford Registration district, they went on to have 4 children, sadly 1 died in infancy or early childhood. In 1911 the family were living at 5 Thoresby Road, Mansfield Woodhouse, John William 38 yrs is a works joiner, he is living with his wide Amelia 39 yrs and their 3 children

Military History

Private Frederick Henry Wilkinson enlisted at Mansfield, he served with the 1/4th battalion King's Own (Royal Lancaster Regiment. He died of wounds on 25th August 1918 and is buried at Pernes British Cemetery.
