He was the son of ElizabethCooper and the brother of Arthur and Ida Cooper. He was the half brother of John and Anne Day. In 1911 they lived at 18 Machine Street Barker Gate Nottingham. He was the husband of Elsie Maud Cooper.
Driver Frederick Cooper, enlisted in Nottingham and served with “A” Battery, 52nd Brigade Royal Field Artillery, he was killed in action on 23rd July 1916. He is buried in Peronne Road Cemetery, Maricourt.
In memoriam published 23rd July 1917 in the Nottingham Evening Post :- “COOPER. – In loving memory of Driver Frederick Cooper, R.F.A., beloved husband of Elsie Cooper, killed in action July 22nd, 1916.
