Family History

Henry was born in 1890 he was the son of the late Arthur a railway labourer and Jane Marriott née Disney of Old Lane Keyworth. Arthur was born in 1861 at Keyworth he died in 1907 aged 46 yrs, Jane Disney was born in 1864 at Keyworth they were married in 1883 their marriage was recorded in the Bingham registration district, they went on to have 10 children. In 1911 the family were living at Old Lane Keyworth. Jane 47 yrs a widow is living with 6 of her children including Henry 21 yrs an iron mongers assistant.

Military History

Private Henry Marriott enlisted at Derby, Prior to being at home with 4th Battalion, Henry served with 11th battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derby Regiment). He died of wounds on 1st July 1917 and is buried at Keyworth (St Mary) Churchyard north of church near rectory hedge
