Family History

Marmaduke Flower was the eldest son born to Isaac and Elizabeth Flower in 1881. He had a younger sister Annie and brother William. The family moved to settle in Ranskill and Marmaduke's father, Isaac died in 1907. In 1911 Marmaduke was single, working as a porter for railway company and living with his widowed mother, who by now, was an inn keeper.

Military History

Enlisted in Doncaster on 24 Sept 1914 and commemorated at the Pozieres Memorial, France
