Family History

He was the son of Thomas and Mary Ann Jackson. His father was a Chemical Labourer and the family lived in Old Westwood, near Selston. Joe had two sisters, Louisa and Sophia, and a younger brother George. By 1911 Joe was working as a brickyard hand. By the time of Joe's death his parents had moved to 2 Ouse Bridge Burton Road Carlton Nottingham.

Military History
