Albert Watson

Albert Watson was born in 1884 at Carlton and was the son of William a bricklayer and Hannah Watson née Morgan of 45 Chesterfield Street, Carlton. His father William was born in 1857 at Carlton, his mother Hannah Morgan was born in 1860 also at Carlton, they were married in 1877 their marriage was recorded in the Basford registration district, they had 7 children, sadly two died in infancy or early childhood, their surviving children were Henry b1880, Ada b1884, Albert b1884, Florence Maude b1888 and Bertie b1891 all were born in Carlton. In the 1911 census the family lived at 45 Chesterfield Street Carlton Nottingham and were shown as William 54 yrs a bricklayer, he is living with his wife Hannah 51 yrs and their children, Albert 27 yrs a bricklayer, Florence Maud 23 yrs a hosiery shevener and Bertie a plater at an iron foundry. Albert married his wife Flora Barker (born 8th January 1889 ) in 1913 at Nottingham, they lived at 34 Garden City Carlton Nottingham and went on to have the following children Ronald Albert born 15th June 1914 and Flora Aileen born 31st January 1917. Following his death his widow was awarded a pension of 22 shillings and 11 pence a week which commenced on 26th November 1917.
