Family History

Daniel Smith was born in 1887 he was the son of the late William an agricultural labourer and Ann Smith née Easton of Green Street, Hazelmere, High Wycombe. William was born in 1850 at Little Hampden, Buckinghamshire, he died in 1914 he was 64 yrs of age, Ann Easton was born in 1854 at Prince Risebrough, she died in 1911 aged 57 years they were married on 23rd January 1875 at High Wycombe Registry office, they went on to have 9 children. Daniel married Eliza Chamberlain on 25th October 1915 at the Wesleyan Chapel at Radcliffe on Trent, they lived at West End Villas, Radcliffe on Trent and had two daughters, Vera (b.1916) and Alma (b.1919 after he died).

Military History

Private Daniel Smith served with the Army Service Corps , he died on 28th February 1919 of influenza and double pneumonia. He is buried in Radcliffe cemetery.
