Arthur Rhodes was the son of William Rhodes and Selina Barson who married in the Basford registration district in 1889. Their children included: Annie (b.1889), Ada (b.1892), Ethel (b.1897), Arthur (b.1900), Eva (b.1904), Robert James (b.1906), Selina May (b.1909) and Mary E. (b.1912). The Rhodes family lived at: Churchfield Lane, Radford [C.1901]; 4 Radford Grove Road, Radford [C.1911]. The post-war address for William & Selina Rhodes was 3 Churchfield Lane, Old Radford [CWGC]. William Rhodes who worked as a hosiery trimmer, died at Nottingham, aged 75, in 1945. His wife, Selina, predeceased him, dying in 1941, aged 71.
