Sisters: Marketable(!) born in 1896 at Wainfleet, working as a domestic servant, Roslie, born in 1898 at Wainfleet and Ethel, born in 1899 at Wainfleet. The family left Hundleby and moved to West Street, Alford before leaving for 16 New Market Yard, Sneinton, Nottingham

Military History

The battalion moved to the Ypres Salient in November 1914, and it was not long before Medcalf was seriously wounded. He died on 22/11/1914 and was buried at Chocques Military Cemetery.
