Sisters: Annie, born in 1880 and Frances Maud, born in 1884. All the children were born in Skipton. The family lived at 1 Swanford Street, Skipton. Arthur Tom Luty married Harriett Puver on October 1913 in Nottingham. They lived at 6 Simpkin Buildings, Clayton Street, Meadows, Nottingham.

Military History

The battalion trained at Lyndhurst during September, until finally sent to France. Pte. Luty arrived om 14/11/1914, and the following year his battalion was heavily involved in the Battle of Loos, where he was killed in action on 26/09/1915. His body was never recovered but his name was commemorated on the Loos Memorial.
