Archie Jackson was born in 1895 he was the son of the late John and Sarah Jackson, née Mugglestone and the brother of Percival Malcom of 16, Marshall St., Sherwood, Nottingham. John Jackson was born in 1865, he died in 1900 aged 35 yrs, Sarah Mugglestone was born in 1858 at Derby, they were married on 29th August 1894 at St James, Derby. they had 2 sons. Percival was born in 1899 at Nottingham. In 1911 the family are .living at Glen Roy Terrace, Hood Street, Nottingham, Sarah 53 yrs is a widow and midwife, she is living with her sons, Archibald 16 yrs a cycle worker and Percival 12 yrs a scholar.
Private Archie Jackson, enlisted on 4th May 1914 he served with the 2nd battalion Leicestershire Regiment, he landed in France on 8th December 1914. He was wounded and as a result was discharged from the Army on 28th March 1916. He died of his wounds on 6th August 1918 and is buried at Nottingham General Cemetery.
