John Lindley was born in 1873. He was the husband of Teresa Lindley, born in 1874 at Mansfield, who worked as a lace hand. John later married Selina Eleanor Lindley (née Hayes). He was the father of William (killed in action 22/9/1915), Gwendoline and Hilda Lindley. The family lived at 4 Snowdon Terrace Spring Close Old Lenton Nottingham.
