Sidney Victor Hickman

Sidney Victor Hickman was born in 1898 at Middlesex, London he was the son of Albert Edward Hickman a clerk and Elizabeth Eleanor Hickman née Vickery, of 23 Marcus Street, Nottingham.

His father was born in 1872 at Nottingham, his mother Elizabrth Eleanor Vickery in 1874 at Hartley Whitney Hampshire. They were married in 1894 in Hartley Whitney and had six children :- John Edward b.23/09/1896, Farnborough, Hampshire, Sidney Victor b.1898 Middlesex, William Frank Belmont b.6/06/1900 Middlesex, Frederick A b.1905 Heidleburg Transvaal South Africa, Thomas A b.1905 Johannesburg Transvaal South Africa and Eleanor E b.1910 Nottingham.

In the 1911 census the family lived at 191 Bobbersmill Road Nottingham Albert Hickman 39 yrs is a clerk for gas lighting works, he is living withhis wife Elizabeth Eleanr 37 yrs and their children, John Edward 14 yrs an office boy at lace warehouse, Sidney Victor 12 yrs a scholar, William F.B 10 yrs a scholar, Frederick H 7 yrs a scholar, Thomas A 6 yrs a scholar and Eleanor E under 5 months.
