Charles Edward Fell

Charles Edward Fell was born in 1891 at Gainsborough, he was the son of Thomas Holroyd an engine fitter and Annie Maria Fell née Bradstock of 12 Willoughby Street Gainsborough.

His father Thomas Holroyd was born in 1855 at Gainsborough, his mother Annie Maria Bradstock was born in 1856 at Boston, Linconshire, she died in 1911 at Gainsborough she was 57 yrs old, they were married on 31st January 1877 at Gainsborough, Lincolnshire they went on to have 7 children sadly 1 was to die in infancy or early childhood.

In the 1911 census the family were living at 12 Shugar Yard , Gainsborough, Thomas Olroyd Fell 55 yrs an engine fitter is living with his wfie Annie Fell 57 yrs and their maried daughter Emma Gillett30 yrs and their grandchildren, Lewis Gillett 12 yrs and Josep Gillett 1 yr old.

In the same 1911 census Charles Edward is 20 yrs of age and is a boiler riveter, he is living at 19 Cecil Street, Gainborough, he is living with his brother George Walter 30 yrs a slither machinist, and his wife Emily Fell 31 yrs and their son George Albert Fell 2 yrs

He was the husband of Amy Langham (born 28th January 1889 ) they were married in 1914 at Gainsborough, they lived at of 8 Cyril Cottages, Kyte Street, New Lenton Nottingham.they had a daughter Amy Fell born 5th April 1915.

Commencing 15th May 1916 his widow was awarded a pension of 15 shillings a week.
