John Alfred Williams was born on 11th October 1894 he was the son of Mr and Mrs J Williams of Glanogwen. They were not informed of his death until August 1917.

Attd. 2nd Bn. possibly officer cadet and gazetted second lieutenant (Temporary).John Alfred Williams was killed in action on 18 November 1916 and was buried in the Munich Trench British Cemetery, Beaumont-Hamel, Somme, France (grave ref. C.4)
