Frank Adams was baptised on 1st March 1890 at Dresden Resurrection Church, Longton he was the son of Edwin a hatter and Mary Ann Adams née Locker of 21 Flanders Mansions, Chiswick., London
His father Edwin was born in 1859 at Derby, his mother Mary Ann Locker was born in 1861 at Belper, they were married on 14th April 1884 at Christ Church, Derby, they had 2 further children, Edwin Tom born 1886 and Hilda Muriel b1887 both born in Longton.
In the 1911 censes his parents and siblings are living at 100 Chaplin Road, Longton. Edwin 51 years is a hat shop manager, he is living with his wife Mary Ann 50 yrs and their two children, Edwin Tom 25 yrs a railway clerk and Hilda Muriel 24 yrs a school teacher, also living at the address is female servant.
In the same 1911 census Frank was living as a boarder at 18 Hatherley Street, Liverpool, and working as a wholesale chemist salesman.
Details of his movement to Welbeck are unknown at this time.
Frank Adams enlisted in the RAMC at York on 1st Sept 1914 at the age of 24.he went to France on the 21st May 1915 and was posted to the 44th Field Ambulance.
Frank died in unusual circumstances on 7th February 1917. An enquiry held by the 44th Field Ambulance on 11th February 1917 concluded that he “died from suffocation due to the eating of vomited matter respiratory tract. No blame attached, due to natural causes” .
He was buried at Wanquetin Communal Cemetery Extension, France

His brother Edwin Tom also served with the RAMC he was killed in action on 28th October 1918. (he is not on the Nottinghamshire roll of honour)
