Family History

Percival Robinson was born in 1885 at Beeston, he was the son of William a lace warehouse man and Elizabeth Robinson née Clements of 74 Imperial Road, Beeston. His father William was born in 1859 at Beeston and his mother Elizabeth Clements was born in 1860 also at Beeston, they were married on 17th November 1878 at ST John the Baptist church, Beeston, they went on to have 4 children. In the 1911 census the family are living at 27 Chilwell Road, Beeston, William 52 yrs is a lace warehouse man, he is living with his wife Elizabeth 51 yrs and their children, Percival 26 yrs a lace warehouseman, Mary 23 yrs and William Claude 20 yrs a lace draughtsman.

Military History

Acting Bombadier Percival Robinson enlisted at Beeston, he served with the 139 battery, Royal Garrison Artillery, he died on 5th December 1916 of nephritis (kidney problems) and is buried at Etaples Military Cemetery, France.
