Maurice Charles Mansfield was born in 1868 and baptised on 12th July 1868 at Ockbrook.

He was the son of Joseph a railway goods manager and Eliza Ann Mansfield (née Antill). Joseph was born in 1844 in Derby, Eliza Ann Antill in 1845 at Spondon. She died in 1899 aged 54 in Manchester. They were married on 25th July 1867 at Ockbrook and had the following children - Maurice Charles b.1868 Spondon, Edith Mary b.1870 Spondon, Marion Maude b.1872 Ockbrook, Wilfred Antill b.1882 Bradford and Arthur Norman b.1887 Manchester. In 1911 census Mauriec lived at Trent Villa, Beeston along with his widowed thirty eight year old sister Marion Hollins.

Probate proven 29th December 1916 at Nottingham, shows him as Lieutenant Maurice Charles Mansfield, Liuetenant in H.M. Army, died on 11th February 1916 at St Petragrad, Russia, his effects of £3516 10 shillings and 11 pence were left to Maud Hollis a widow (his sister)
