Percy was born in 1899 and was the son of Walter a commercial clerk and Emily Bowlzer and the brother of John, Arthur George, Edith, Laura, Harold, Amy and Bertie Bowlzer. In 1911 the family were living at 71, City Road, Beeston, Nottingham.
Military history
Percy enlisted in Nottingham and initially served (116640) in the Sherwood Foresters later transferreing to the Essex Regiment.
