His death was reported in the Nottingham Journal of May 1st 1947: 'RADCLIFFE CRASH Beeston Man s Fatal Injuries As the result of the saloon car in which he was riding overturning on the Nottingham-Grantham road near Radcliffe at 12.30 this morning, Eric Frith, of 32, Coventry Road, Beeston, received injuries from which he died almost immediately.
