Military history

Wellington BJ756 KO-Q RAF East Wretham mission to Essen. Shot down by a night fighter piloted by Lt Oskar Kostler, IV/ NJG1 and came down 21.35 in the IJsselmeer. Sgt Moffat RCAF is buried in Amersfoort (Oud Leusden) General Cemetery, the rest of the crew have no known graves. This was the last Wellington reported missing from 115 Squadron.
