Halifax DK117 1660 HCU. Take off RAF Swinderby 11:50 to practice 3 engines flying, 12:00 at 2000ft while trying to restart the port outer the pilot lost control and crashed between Cranwell and Leasingham. Aircraft burnt out. Sgt Ronald Stevens, injured died at RAF Hospital Rauceby the same day, buried Newark Cemetery.
