Fatalities: JH Elliott (P), GJ Morrice FE), RA Stringer (N), HJ Lygo (W/Op), IL McDonnell (BA), DJ Kingsnorth (AG), LEG Bishop (AG). They were a ‘sprog crew’ – new and inexperienced straight out of training. 38 crews were lost on this operation.
