Fatalities: Norman Clive Beer (P), Walter Gordon Gawthorpe (FE), William Harding (W/Op), Joseph Smurthwaite (AG), Harold John West (BA), James Logan White (AG). 195 aircraft – 127 Lancasters, 59 Halifaxes, 9 Stirlings attacked Wilhelmshave. Most of the bombs seem to have fallen west of the target. 5 civilians were killed, 47 injured and a number of buildings damaged.
