Kenneth Frank Hutson was the son of George and Jane Hutson of Grimsby, Lincolnshire. In 1939, they lived at 30, Lincoln Boulevard, Grimsby. Kenneth's connection with Awsworth is currently unknown.

Hutson was the navigator aboard Halifax V LK958 which took off 1639 20 Jan 1944 from Holme-on-spalding Moor to bomb Berlin. It was shot down by Flak from 19,500 feet crashing 8 km SE of Oebisfelde probably near Lockstedt. Five fatalities: Hutson + George Corbell Ive, Arthur John Edward Raven, John Chapman Stones & Raymond Valentine Turner. Two of the crew survived and became POWs: Kenneth Cowan Buchan & Michael Frederick Curry. (rafcommands.com)
769 aircraft - 495 Lancasters, 264 Halifaxes and 10 Mosquiroes were involved. 35 aircraft - 22 Halifaxes and 13 Lancasters (4.6& of the attacking force) were lost.
