Son of Mrs. Francis Aslin, of Turpins Yard, Newark, Nottinghamshire.
22 January 1945, 2 Squadron, 4 Bn Grenidier Guards advanced on the road from Breberen in support of the 4th Wiltshires. The 3rd Scots Guards had fired 28 tons of shells into the strongpoint of Saeffelen and the Flame throwing Churchill Crocodiles of the Grenidiers set fire to the village causing 300 German troops to surrender. But as the rear section of tanks moved forwards German Self Propelled Gun moved out of a smoke screen and attacked the left flank, hittung one Honey and one Churchill. Died from wounds the day after his Churchill Tank was hit by fire from a Self Propelled Gun at Saeffelen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.
