Jones, who was an Army re-servist, was called up for service on the outbreak of war and was immediately sent to France. He was there until the evacuation from Dunkirk, and, after a brief spell in this country, was drafted to the Middle East. He served here up to the time of his death, which occurred due to a motor accident.
