HMS Corncrake
The minelayer HMS Corncrake, a converted trawler, foundered in heavy weather in the Atlantic off the Irish coast on January 25th 1943. The entire 23 man crew was lost including Sub Lieutenant Albert Cobb from Newark, Stoker 1st Class John Jacomb and Ordinary Seaman Percy Cooke from Mansfield. (Wikipedia)
