Based at : RAF Castle Archdale, formerly RAF Lough Erne, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, a Coastal Command Flying Boat station used by the RAF and RCAF.
Died : 14th March 1945, aged, 22 years old : Lost In aircraft : Sunderland III : Serial Number : Unknown : The aircraft had taken off at 02.00 Hrs, it flew into a hill in low cloud at Crownard, 5 miles West of Killybegs, County, Donegal, Eire whilst setting out on an Anti Submarine Warfare Patrol, all of the crew were killed, their bodies were returned by the Irish Army the following day to the authorities in Northern Ireland, four were returned to their Families for burial in the UK the remainder were buried in Irvinestown, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland.
Buried : Hucknall Cemetery, Hucknall, Nottinghamshire.
