Family history

Son of George Frederick and Florence Webster of 66 Goldsmith Street, Mansfield.
George had enlisted on 10th January 1915 and was killed on 21st March 1918 whilst serving with the Queen's Own (Royal West Kent Regiment).
Florence had 4 children with George, Harry in 1911, Eveline Ethel on 14/3/1913, George Frederick on 26/9/1914 and Kathleen on 19/10/1916. She married William Taylor in 1920 and on the 1921 Census and they were living at 66 Goldsmith Street, Mansfield. She would have a further 2 children with William, Grace in 1921 and John William in 1923. In 1939 she was living with William, her daughter Kathleen and the 2 younger children at 66 Goldsmith Street.

Harry married Olive S Golding in Portsmouth in 1938 and on the 1939 England and Wales Register they were living at 39 Martin Road, Portsmouth with their son, Kenneth H, born on the 28th August 1939, so he was about a month old.
In 1947 Olive married George Hart in Portsmouth.

Military history

Died of Wounds and is buried in the Ryes War Cemetery, Bazenville.
Bazenville, a village about 5km inland from Gold Beach, it had deen liberated by the Allied Forces on 7th June 1944.
