Died of wounds in Burma, possibly during the Battle of Kohima.

It is with deep regreats that we learn of the death from wounds of Fusilier Tom Walker aged 34 who died in Burma on 10th May. His wife and twin boys aged 8 years residing at 28 Radford Street, Mansfield are left to mourn their loss.
Fusilier T Walker when called up joined the Warwicks and was transferred to the Lancashire Fusiliers in 1942.
Previous to the war he worked at Clipstone Colliery but left owing to ill-health and was working at Boneham and Turner Mansfield when he was called to the colours. His school days were spent at Clowne. He is the son of Mr & Mrs Walker of 5 Maltby Road, Mansfield.
