Military history

Enlisted into the South Staffordshire regiment but transferred to the Worcestershire Regiment.
The battalion left Liverpool in April 1942 for Bombay and in March 1944 they moved to Assam.
Battle of Kohima: 4/4-22/6/1944.
During the period of 3rd of April to 16th April the japanese attacked Kohima Ridge which overlooked the road from Imphal which supplied Kohima.
