Intercepted and shot down on return at 22.40 by a night fighter Bf110 piloted by Oblt Helmut Woltersdorf of 7/NJG1 out of Fliegerhorst Twente. P1165 crashed at Dorpbuurt, east of Winterswijk, Gelderland,
Netherlands.
