Military history

Found dead in a hut at Bowbridge Road, Army Camp from a self inflicted gun shot wound to the head.

Sapper Adamson had not settled to Army life the inquest heard, he had complained about not being suited to work in the cook house and asked for out door work. He had also felt unwell and had just seen the doctor for a full examination. He had also been confinded to barracks for seven days on a charge. He told L/Cpl Norman Butler of the CMP he would not be doing the seven days. Saying 'He had not much longer to live'.
