Family history

Family had moved from Pembrokeshire and he attended Claypole Primary School and was a member of the church choir. After leaving Magnus Grammar School in Newark aged 15 he entered the RAF training school for boys.

Son of Mark and Ethel Hall of High Kelling, Norfolk; husband of Elsie Caroline Hall, of Hitchin.

Military history

Aged 15 he entered the RAF training school for boys and remained in the RAF, including 5 years overseas.

Blenheim V5463 took off from RAF Watton at 1108 hours on 13th September 1941 but the aircraft stalled and crashed into a hangar and burst into flames killing all crew and two ground crew as well.
