26/27 June 1941 Wellington R1644 150 Sqn. Take off 23.05 from RAF Newton on to bomb Dusseldorf. Hit by flak 2 Res Flak Abt 401. 1-3 Res Flak Abt 447 & 3 Res Flak Abt 646. Crashed west bank of the river Maas, Grubbenvorst near Venlo at 04:00 killing all the crew.
