Family history

Son of Wensley T and Louisa A Humble of Stanton Place Mansfield. Wensley was originally from London. John had a brother, Joseph Graham born in 1914.
He married Edith Mary (known as Mary) Blatherwick at St Paul's Church, St Pancras Square, Camden on 13th September 1936 and they had 2 sons, Christopher born in 1938 and Timothy Nicholas Simon (known as Simon). Simon was born on 6th February 1945 6 months after his father's death.
Edith Mary had been born in Farnsfield to a wealthy family, they employed a governess and 2 servants and lived at Rufford Manor Farm, Farnsfield. When the family moved from 63 Kensington Church Street, Kensington to Woolavington their home was called Farnsfield House.
Edith Mary married Henry T Allen in 1947.

Took off from Burn, Yorkshire for a sortie to the Opel Motor Factory at Russelheim. 297 aircraft, with 20 losses.
Only slight damage was caused as many of the bombs fell onto empty countryside. They were shot down by a nightfighter at Chapelle A Ois, WSW of Ath, Belguim.
