Wellington R1435 150 Sqn. Take off from RAF Newton to bomb shipyards, Altona power-station and city area of Hamburg.
Loss reason unknown all crew killed. 119 aircraft on raid 3 Wellingtons and a Whitley lost. Reports stated 128 fires, worst being in the city centre. Koster's department store, a bank and part of the Hamburg Stock Exchange destroyed by fire. 31 people killed, 151 injured and 873 made homeless.
