Son of Joseph Henry and Annie Lizzie Adams, of New Clipstone.
In 1921 the family where living with joseph's brother's family at 1 larklands Avenue, Ilkeston, they were both out of work miners.
The family moved to Clipstone and lived at 89 Forest Road, Clipstone.
Ronald had one sister, Audrey, born in 1917. In 1939 they had taken in 2 evacuees, twin sisters Jean and Joan Holder aged 10.

The parish church of Clipstone was filled with mourners on Sunday afternoon for the funeral service of Mr Ronald Adams aged 22, who was serving as a Lance Corporal with the Corps of Military Police. He was involved in a motorcycle accident at Tewskbury and passed away on wednesday last week.
Son of Mr & Mrs J H Asams of 89 Forest Road, Clipstone he was well known throughout the districtand was a member of the Birmingham Police before joining up.
