Family history

Son of Arthur and May Reedham of 30 Mill Lane, Edwinstowe.
Charles married Nora P Moore from Worksop in the summer of 1943, so married only for a few months.

Military history

Letter from R. M Hutton,the captain of HMS Laforey.
"I am sorry to have to tell you that Charlie was killed on the 13th October 1943.
We were peppered by an enemy bombing raid and Charlie was hit in the head and died instantaneously. For a long time Charlie's dutiy was on the bridge next to me. He was one of the most level headed and cheerful members of my team."
HMS Laforey was sunk a few months later on 30th April 1944 with the loss of most of her crew.
