Mr & Mrs W Illingworth of 15 Woodland Grove, Mansfield Woodhouse have received news that their only son, Pte Norman Illingworth of the Sherwood Foresters died of wounds in Italy on 8th January 1944. He was wounded in Italy in September. He joined the Army in January 1942 and went on service abroad in February 1943.
